We have had a busy summer, and we are so grateful to all of the wonderful volunteers who have helped us answer phones, shelve books, and straighten the stacks. Our library is better because of you! We've had so much help that the cirulation department is currently not in need of new volunteers.
However, we do need help in the children's Department on Monday and Thursday mornings. Volunteers in the children’s department assist the library staff in sorting and shelving children’s items. Volunteers must be able to arrange items in alphabetical and numerical order; able to push, bend, and lift; have strong attention to detail; and be able to work independently. Please be willing to commit to working one 2-hour scheduled shift per week for 4+ months. All volunteers must be at least 14 years of age.
If you would like to help the librarians in the children's department, please contact Jen Wooters at 371-0090 ext. 886 or wootersj@brentwood-tn.org. For more information about volunteering, visit our volunteer web page.
