The Brentwood Library will host two chess camps this winter!
The Beginners Class is for chess players who have not played in a rated tournament. Our on-site chess coach, Dr. Jim Lech from the Nashville Chess Center, will teach strategies and engage students in structured play. Bring a snack. Parents are welcome, and boards will be provided.

The Advanced Class is for players who have played in a rated tournament. Dr. Lech will give no less than 4 hours of pure instruction that covers the opening, middle game, end game, and official tournament rules. Then, students will play 1-3 tournament rounds, under tournament conditions. There will be prizes! Players should bring a lunch and snack. There will be a Bug-house tournament during the one hour lunch break. Boards will be provided.
