The Brentwood Library is at your fingertips!  Through our new app, you can now access many of the library’s services directly from your mobile phone or tablet…and it’s FREE! 

Our app will provide you 24/7 access to our resources wherever you are, on any mobile device.  You can search the catalog, access your account, renew a book, place an item on hold, access eBooks and AudioBooks, register for a class or event, and more.

Great news for patrons with iPhones!

Did you know that you can search the library's collections and place holds right from your iPhone? The free BookMyne iPhone app makes it easy. Download it directly to your phone from the App Store.

When you first download and open the app, it will find all the nearby libraries. Pick the Brentwood Library from the list, and you're ready to start searching! Let's say you heard about Stieg Larsson's books on NPR, and wanted to see what the library has on hand. Search by the author's name (could also do title or keyword) and this is what you'll see:

From here, you can look at individual titles for availability info and place holds. Once you put in your library card number once, the app will remember you for future searches. There's also a My Account feature with details on your checkouts and holds, although this isn't fully functional for all users yet. Give it a try and let me know what you think!

Another Free App for your iPhone

If you love audio boooks and have an iphone, you should download the OverDrive app!

Using the READS program, you can wirelessly download audio books to your iphone. And just like on your computer, these audio books automatically expire so there is never a late fee.

Get the right answers on your iPhone

Have you ever wondered about the accuracy of an answer you found online? Anyone can make their own website these days.

But there are places you can go to get trusted, vetted sources of information, even on your iPhone.

Go the App Store and download the free Access My Library application. It gives you access to library resources wherever you go.

When you are within 10 miles of the Brentwood Library, you'll have access to literary criticism, business resources, health information, and much more.

All for free, and all in the palm of your hand.
