Some of you have noticed the recent damage to the beautiful oak tree close to the intersection of Concord Road and Knox Valley Drive, in front of the library. One of the tree's large branches broke on Friday. Thankfully this happened late in the evening, when no one was on the walking trail.
An arborist had previously added a cable to that branch for support, but this recent break occurred above the cable. The broken branch is mostly removed by now. We're planning to have an assessment of the tree to ensure that it's safe in its current condition.
