Towards a greener library

Borrowing materials from the library instead of purchasing them is already a "green" option, both in terms of saving the planet and saving money. Now we're offering you the option of a paperless checkout. If you keep track of your due dates online or just don't refer to the checkout receipts anyways, you might prefer to not get the receipt at all. Starting tomorrow, we'll ask you at checkout whether you want a receipt or not.

Another way we can reduce waste is to choose reusable library bags instead of disposable ones. We're selling roomy reusable bags with the library logo for just $5.00, which supports the library. Keep one in your car, and you'll always be ready for a visit to the library.
