A Wrinkle in Time was written by Madeleine L'Engle and is a timeless science fiction classic. It's about a girl named Meg who goes on a trip to another planet to save her father.
This revered Newberry Medal winning children's book first published in 1962 makes an apperance in the new children's book When You Reach Me by Rebecca Stead. 
It's 1979, and Miranda is helping her mom practice for her upcoming apperance on the game show $20,000 Pyramid (hosted by Dick Clark!). She's also trying to make sense of mysterious notes that keep showing up in the strangest places. A Wrinkle in Time is her favorite book and she carries it with her wherever she goes.
