Free Diabetes Screenings

Over 5 million people have diabetes and don’t even know it. Because the symptoms of diabetes often develop gradually, many people go an average of eight years before being diagnosed. If the disease isn’t caught early, it can cause significant damage to the eyes, kidneys or other organs.

Early detection is so important and a simple blood test is the easiest way to determine if you have type 2 diabetes. Individuals over the age 40 should have a yearly blood glucose test.

Stop by the library on:

Tuesday, April 13
11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

for your free screening. Fasting is not required, so you can stop by on your lunch hour.

As a service to the community, Dr. Shannon C. McDonald with Southern Hills Family Medicine of Brentwood offers free monthly health screenings at the Brentwood Library. No registration necessary.
