Book Clubs at the Brentwood Library

Have you heard about this month's Book Club selections?
The morning book club meets on Tuesday, May 22 from 10:00 - 12:00. They are reading The Education of Little Tree by Forrest Carter. The Education of Little Tree tells of a boy orphaned very young, who is adopted by his Cherokee grandmother and half-Cherokee grandfather in the Appalachian mountains of Tennessee during the Great Depression. The Atlantic says, "Some of it is sad, some of it is hilarious, some of it is unbelievable, and all of it is charming."

The evening book club meets on Wednesday, May 16 from 6:30 - 7:45 p.m. They are reading Home by Marilynne Robinson. Publisher's Weekly says: "Robinson's beautiful new novel, a companion piece to her Pulitzer Prize–winning Gilead, is an elegant variation on the parable of the prodigal son's return... In giving an ancient drama of grace and perdition a strong domestic setup, Robinson stakes a fierce claim to a divine recognition behind the rituals of home."

There's still time to finish reading! No registration is required to join the discussions.
