Dr. Maya Angelou, 1928-2014

The world lost a powerful, loving voice today with the passing of Maya Angelou. The poet, performer, and political activist died at the age of 86 after a long illness.

   "Shadows on the wall

Noises down the hall

Life doesn't frighten me at all

Bad dogs barking loud

Big ghosts in a cloud

Life doesn't frighten me at all."

--  from "Life Doesn't Frighten Me"

Reading and sharing her words, whether one of her autobiographies, a collection of her poems, or her stories of times gone by, keeps her memory alive.
