Internship Opportunity


The Brentwood Library is now accepting applications for an unpaid Fall internship opportunity. Applications are available online. Please share this information with any college business majors you know who may be interested.

This internship position will provide substantial experience in nonprofit fundraising, researching donor prospects, solicitation strategizing, in addition to gaining valuable office experience working in a fabulous atmosphere. The intern will be encouraged to take a leadership role in spearheading their own project within the objectives.

Description
The Brentwood Library Foundation is a non-profit organization that solicits contributions in support of The Brentwood Library. The Annual Fund is the yearly fundraising drive. Duties include but are not limited to the following:
  • design a brochure
  • write corporate, small business, and individual solicitation letters
  • organize printing needs
  • process mailings
  • track and report donations
  • work with library employees to meet goals
Responsibilities
Must be able to follow directions and work independently to plan and implement a fundraising drive focusing on three levels - corporate, small business, and personal.

Requirements
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Personable, friendly, eager to learn
Must have reliable transportation
Must live close enough to Brentwood to commute
Well-organized and detail oriented
Ability to multi task, take initiative, and follow-through
Passionate, hard worker, dependable, responsible
Able to spend 10-15 hours per week
