The Basics on Vegetable Gardens

Thursday, April 30, 1:00pm - 2:30pm

Are you wanting to plant a vegetable garden this spring? Get the low-down on planting times, soil preparation and testing, plant spacing, and everything else you need to plant and pick fresh vegetables from your own back yard. You'll even be able to start thinking ahead to fall by learning about both warm and cool season vegetables.

Presenter Amy Dismukes is the UT/TSU Horticulture Extension Agent for Williamson County. She has a Bachelor of Science in Horticulture: Sustainable Fruit and Vegetable Production and a Master of Agriculture in Plant Pathology and Entomology. In addition to her educational training for both homeowners and commercial clients, Amy teaches training classes for Master Gardener programs and is a frequent guest speaker for garden and horticultural associations.

This program is FREE, but registration is required. Get prepared for your back yard vegetable garden by registering online or calling 615-371-0090, ext. 8510.
