Celebrating Arbor Day at the Brentwood Library

Although National Arbor Day is the last Friday in April, Tennessee and Brentwood celebrate the last Friday in March. The Brentwood Library is hosting the city's annual Arbor Day festivities, sponsored by the City of Brentwood Tree Board, on

Saturday, March 28, from 11am - 1 pm

For the kids, we'll have a story time about trees, face painting, and crafts.  Free hot dogs will be available for all ages, and Brentwood residents and property owners will have a last chance to win a tree in our acorn guessing contest. There will also be saplings available for you to take home and plant.

Stop by and help us celebrate Tennessee's trees and the many ways in which trees enhance our community and our lives. Let's celebrate Arbor Day together: Saturday, March 28th!

Friday, April 5, 2013

Join us April 6 for our annual Arbor Day celebration!

The Arbor Day program will include displays by tree-related vendors, food, children’s activities, and guided tours of the Library Arboretum. Take home FREE tree seedlings to plant in your backyard, too!

During the 11:00 a.m. program, Brentwood will receive the Tree City, USA Award from the Tennessee Urban Forestry Council. This will be Brentwood’s twenty-third year in a row to receive the prestigious national award, which recognizes the City’s long-standing commitment to tree planting and conservation.

The City of Brentwood recognizes trees for the beauty and value they lend to our homes, neighborhoods, parks and business areas. We also realize that trees help clean the air and keep the atmosphere in balance. We hope that everyone will take part in this special day for the City!

Date: Saturday, April 6
Time: 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Place: Outdoors on the property of the Brentwood Library
