An exciting age appropriate yoga class just for kids taught by Theresa Kuhn. This class is designed to foster coordination, cooperation, concentration and a little silliness, while building attention and focus. Mats, props, and laughter provided!

Payment will be taken the day of class, before class begins. We can accept exact cash or check made payable to the Brentwood Library. Dates are subject to change.

An exciting, age-appropriate yoga class just for kids, designed to foster coordination, cooperation , concentration, and a little silliness, while building attention and focus. 

Theresa Kuhn has been a yoga teacher since 2007 and teaches the Guided Meditation here at the Library. She holds several specialized training in yoga including YogaFit Kids and Radiant Child Yoga, but most importantly she is the mother of 4.

Keeping Kids and Pets Safe

As summer approaches, here's a friendly reminder that the library is concerned about safety, too. So please remember that children under 12 should not be left unattended in the library for extended periods of time, and children of all ages must be picked up promptly at closing.

In addition, please do not leave children or pets alone in a vehicle. Temperatures rise very quickly, so any unattended child or pet will initiate a call to local authorities.

 

Please, never leave children or pets alone in a parked vehicle.

Summer Reading: The Story Begins

This year's Summer Reading Program theme for kids is 

Every Hero Has a Story. 

In fact, every hero, every villain, every reader has a story. What's your story? Come explore story after story during our summer reading program for kids, teens, and adults.

Summer Program Registration begins 

April 30th

9-am - 12 pm in the Library

and 12 pm online.

These programs for ages 6-12 fill up very quickly, so mark you calendar!

Summer Reading Log Registration occurs May 28th -- July 3rd.

Chinese Mask Making for Kids

Step into the fantastical world of Chinese Opera. Did you know that the various colors on Chinese Opera face painting have different meanings? Learn what they are and then design and create your own mask!

Children ages 9-12 years old can join Jen-Jen Lin, the founder and director of Chinese Arts Alliance of Nashville, to learn about these meanings and to enjoy this hands-on workshop on Chinese mask designing and painting.
