Fabrics are a great place to start for inspiration to begin to design a room, or to complete and pull together all that is in a space. The choice in fabrics is limitless today and can get overwhelming. With colors, textures and pattern options so abundant, how do you choose? Learn how to pull fabrics together, and learn the interior design trends for windows, including options in woven blinds as well as shutters and shades. An expert in fabrication of window treatments, pillows, and bedding will also be present.

Kim Costner, Allied ASID is the Principal of Kmpact Design, LLC, an Interior Design firm in Brentwood, Tennessee. Her specialty is her unbridled passion for color, texture, lighting and unique finishes that blend together in creating the perfect personal touch to design. She is constantly networking in order to develop new relationships with artists, retailers, vendors and other unique resources in Nashville, Atlanta, Chicago and New York. She is an accomplished speaker on topics such as “Hospitality by Design,” “Let Your House Speak,” and “The New Face of Hospitality.” She was recently published in a cookbook, Designed for Cooking in the South: A Collection of Recipes from the South’s Finest Designers.

Learn how to choose the perfect color or color scheme for your space. Bring inspiration pictures of your favorite spaces, art, and anything else that we could use as visual inspiration (even your Pinterest board). You could also include a sample floor plan drawing of the space. Be sure to include doorways and windows! We will have a faux finisher and/or a wallpaper expert on hand to answer questions about the advancements in wall treatments, as well as the comeback and popularity of wallpaper.
