Using Social Media in Genealogy

Tracing your family history in 2014 often involves using Social Media. New times require new tools. Never used social media before? This class is for you!

Do you need help with your genealogy research? A member of the DAR will be holding a free one-on-one genealogy help session at the library on Thursday, September 26^th from 6:30 – 8:00 pm in the Brentwood Room. You may uncover hidden branches on your family tree!

Genealogy Class: U.S. Census Records

Discover the wealth of information found in U.S. census records, and fill in the gaps on your family tree. Maybe you’ll find out that your grandfather was a home owner, a plumber, and came from Germany in 1923... or that your great-grandmother had 10 children and was married in 1910. Get ready for the release of the 1940 Census, which will be released on April 2, 2012. This census will not be indexed right away, so this class will focus on how to find your ancestors by using E.D. numbers.
