Free Professional Development Resources for Educators

The Library of Congress recently launched a fantastic set of new tools for educators. The central hub for all Library of Congress resources for teachers is the new site http://www.loc.gov/teachers/.

In addition to the high quality primary sources that the Library has been providing online for years, there is a new tool called Teaching with Primary Sources (TPS) Direct. TPS Direct offers both self-directed interactive modules and a customizable professional development plan builder to help educators boost their effectiveness in teaching with primary source materials.

For a more detailed overview of these amazing resources, have a look at this Library of Congress blog post.
