Author Event
Description/Responsibilities: The Brentwood Library Foundation is a nonprofit organization that solicits
contributions in support of The Brentwood Library. The Brentwood Library is
seeking an intern to assist in planning and executing the annual Author Event
hosted at the library.
Qualifications: Applicants should be students with a background in communications,
literature, language arts, non-profit management, library sciences, or business
with a flair for event planning. Duties include but are not limited to:
emailing save-the-date, mailing invitations, electronic invitations, working
with sponsors and vendors, administrative tasks, and hosting the event. Intern
must have reliable transportation.
Position Type:
Unpaid, part-time internship; 8-10 hours per week; weekday availability, with
some evenings including the night of the event; flexible scheduling

Social Media and Internet Marketing
Description/Responsibilities: The Brentwood
Library seeks an intern to assist with a social media campaign. The intern will
work with the Special Projects Manager to increase awareness, drive internet
traffic, and other marketing activities as assigned.
Qualifications: Applicants should possess
excellent written and oral communication skills, have an understanding of
LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube, as well as an understanding of social
media best practices.
Position type: Unpaid, part-time internship;
8-10 hours per week; flexible scheduling.
