The Brentwood Library is proud to offer excellent materials, polite personal service, and engaging programs. But we couldn't do it without the help of our dedicated volunteers!
What do volunteers do?
- answer calls at our switchboard
- assist with mailings
- shelve books and media materials
- keep our extensive collection in order
- search missing items
- pull items that patrons have placed on hold
- sort donated materials for the Friends of the Library Book Sales
- process materials newly added to our collection
And if that's not enough, we do more around the holidays! Volunteers help at the Tree Lighting Ceremony and with The Polar Express Reading and also with the Morning with Santa event.
We are in particular need for office volunteers at this time. If you are available for a weekly two-hour shift and have availability on Tuesdays between the hours of 11am-5pm, or Wednesdays or Thursdays from 3-5pm, please fill out an online application.
