June FOBL Showcase Artist
Janet Booth
The Happy Pig Collectors Club
The Happy Pig Collectors Club
Janet Booth has had a lifelong obsession with pigs. As a
child, she raised and showed pigs and was, at one time, crowned the Pig Queen
at the Ohio State Fair. She started collecting pigs in college. Her house is
now full of all things pig – planters, baskets, pitchers, towels, etc.
Janet is the current president of the Happy Pig Collectors
Club. The club was started in 1995 by Gene Holt, a retired pig farmer, and is
dedicated to people who collect pigs and gives members the chance to connect
and share their unique pig stories. In 2007, Janet organized the national convention at City Café in Brentwood where she worked as a manager. This year's 21st convention will be in Bishop Hill, IL this Summer.
Stop by and see a small sampling from Janet's collection
during the month of June in the Showcase Display.
